The Careers Service provides a variety of services to employers. These include:

Vacancy Advertising

Employers can submit vacancies directly onto our website for advertising purposes to CIT students and graduates.

Online procedure:

To advertise your vacancy on our website, go to ''Submit Vacancy for approval'' in the Employer Resources Section below.

Enter Job Title , Type of Student(Degree) , Application Procedure , Closing Date , Company Website. Then ''Submit Vacancy for approval''.

When you have completed all the mandatory fields, hit the "Submit" icon at the end of the form to send the details to the CIT Careers and Counselling Service.

Please be aware that postings are subject to approval.

When an employer has several vacancies, an email is sent out to relevant departments to notify staff and students via the student email system and placed on our notice boards on campus.

Employer Presentations

Employers can liaise directly with CIT students on campus. One hour employer presentations are organised by the Careers Service during the course of the academic year. Early booking during the summer months is advisable for presentations in Semester 1. We have two lecture rooms available from 1-2pm and 2-5pm two days per week for the full academic year.

We advertise employer presentations extensively by using the student email system, our website, notice boards and a weekly flyer.[Contact details for booking below]

Employer Interviews

Employers can hold interviews for students on campus by booking early with the Career Service. Professional interview rooms are available free of charge.

Placement Contacts

There are approximately twenty courses in CIT involving over 900 students (mainly third years) go on work placement each year, usually from March/April to September. Each Department organises its own placements for students. We can put you in contact with the relevant department staff so you can liaise directly with them.

CIT Annual Careers Fair

The Careers Service organises an annual careers event on campus where employers can meet CIT students and academic staff directly, actively advertise and recruit students for either graduate jobs or placement positions. .

The 2011 Careers Fair will be held on Tuesday 4th October and a booking form can be sent to you by emailing agnes.looney@cit.ie
