The Nubuke Foundation aims to be synonymous with innovative thinking and cultural enlightenment. Everyone involved with the Foundation is unequivocally passionate about Ghana and its future. The mission of the Foundation is to capture, record and promote Ghanaian history and culture for future generations.The Foundation collects, collates and displays Ghanaian heritage, promotes and helps develop contemporary art and, lastly, leverages Ghanaian history to encourage interest, especially for the benefit of future generations. The volunteer will be working under the direction of Kofi Setordji. Kofi is a highly regarded and respected Ghanaian artist. He is very personable, hard working and enthusiastic. He began his career as a graphic artist and in the nineties went on to become a full-time sculptor under the guidance of the renowned Ghanaian artist, Saka-Acquaye. In 1990, he received the ‘Sculptor of the Year’ award. Kofi Setordji works in wood, metal, bronze, stone, terracotta and paint. Volunteers will be working at ArtHaus. Arthaus is a support system for creativity, where high priority is placed in the production work, personal growth and development, and an interchange between artists. It has excellent facilities in painting, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking and photography.
