This internship will provide the successful candidate with valuable experience in social marketing, web content editing and related areas. While you will move into a position of responsibility with time, no prior experience in these areas is necessary, just a desire to learn.. You will by mentored by and work directly with the Owner of the Company on a daily basis and will learn about what is involved in running a website, developing affiliate products links and using social media to advance user identification. Due to the nature of our websites this position is suitable not only for IT graduates but also those in education, psychology, or the social sciences. IT interest, comfort and skills are required. NOTE: The three websites you would be working on are: www.reinventinglife.org www.futureofeducationproject.net www.doctoralnet.com Your main responsibilities will involve: • Social network marketing for three websites • Uploading content and maintaining internal links for the three sites (Joomla CMS) • Spinning content, building backlinks, and participating in Search Engine -Optimization (SEO) research and decision making. • Development of newsletter and video marketing strategies • Web research on a variety of topics to develop into web content • Research and development of affiliate programs The successful candidate will be cheerful, with an ability to learn through experience. You have an interest in research and learning new things. You may have an interest in building your own web based business in the future. We are looking for someone who has: • a strong interest in web design and the latest trends and advances online • excellent writing for the web skills with a good grasp of grammar, punctuation and spelling • excellent attention to detail • excellent communication skills • some understanding of how users behave online, search engine optimisation and web analytics Preferred skills • knowledge of web based communities and an understanding of what propels ongoing interest in web content • knowledge of social networking and how we can use these tools to communicate better with people • knowledge of Joomla CMS Personal skills • excellent interpersonal and team working skills • eager to learn about all aspects of the web and use your own initiative to • suggest and implement improvements.
